Barry Bernstein

Barry Bernstein was co-founder of Rhythm for Life, who created Unity With a Beat, a weekend event that brought teachers, music therapists, recreational drummers, and professional musicians together to explore the power of rhythm.

Morwen met Barry at the first New England Rhythm for Life weekend in 1995, and based on their conversations, Barry invited Jimi and Morwen to come to Unity With a Beat for many years, to facilitate an evening fire circle. “Bongo Barry” touched many, many people until he died in August, 2009.
